The problem
A healthy total can hide a struggling outlet.
Group sales are up on last year, so the month looks fine. But one brand is sliding, one outlet is losing its dinner trade, and nobody sees it until the month-end pack.
Averages hide the problem outlet. Finding it means pulling POS exports, lining up last year's dates and building the same pivot again.
Openings and closings blur the trend
A new outlet can mask a fall everywhere else. A closure can make healthy outlets look weak.
Fewer customers or smaller bills?
The fix is different, but a sales total alone can't tell you which.
Answers arrive at month-end
By the time the pack is out, the slow weeks are already behind you.
How it works
From the whole business to one hour, in a few clicks.
- 01
The whole business
Net sales, growth vs last year and same-store growth for every brand, on one page. Pick the period once — year, quarter or month to yesterday, or your own dates.
- 02
One brand
Net sales, receipts and AOV, for all outlets and same-store. A short read-out says how much came from closed outlets, outlets open both years, and new ones.
- 03
One outlet
Was it fewer customers or smaller bills? Which sales group — dine-in, takeaway, each delivery app — and which day part moved most?
- 04
The day and the hour
Sales by day of week and by hour against last year, and a grid of every day and day part showing where it's winning or losing.
Every figure is compared with the same dates last year. Same-store means outlets trading in both periods and still trading, so openings and closings don't blur the trend.
See it in VAL
What your team sees.
Every brand at a glance
Net sales, growth vs last year and same-store growth for each brand, and its share of the group. Click a brand to open it.
Why the brand moved
All outlets and same-store, side by side. The read-out splits the change into closed outlets, outlets open both years, and new ones — then the outlet table shows each one's biggest driver and any closed outlets.
Inside one outlet
Customers vs spend, the sales group and the day part that changed most. Click any row to narrow the whole page to it.
Down to the day and hour
Day of week, sales by hour against last year, and a grid of every day and day part — red where it's losing, green where it's winning.

What feeds it
Your POS receipts — nothing new to key in.
Read from your POS
It reads the receipts your POS already records, outlet by outlet. It never changes them.
Every channel as its own group
Dine-in, takeaway and each delivery app show separately, as your POS records them.
As fresh as your feed
Where your feed runs daily, you see up to the latest day loaded, usually yesterday. Growth fills in once a full year of history is loaded.
Only have a daily collection report? A lighter version runs on it: net sales by brand, outlet, channel and day of week (no receipts, AOV or hours).
