Attach a File to Analyse
Drop a spreadsheet, PDF, or image into the chat and VAL reads it — ask questions, pull out the numbers, compare it to your data.

You don't only have to ask VAL about the data inside your domain. Attach a file — a spreadsheet, a PDF, an image — and VAL reads it on the spot, so you can ask questions about it the same way you'd ask about anything else.
Open VAL, click the + button in the chat input, and choose Attach file. Pick the file, add your question, and send.
Ask about what's in the file
Drop in a supplier invoice, a bank statement, a budget spreadsheet — then just ask:
"Pull out every line item from this invoice and total them by category."
VAL reads the file, extracts the numbers, and answers in seconds. Works on tables in a PDF, figures in a screenshot, rows in an Excel or CSV — you don't have to retype anything.
The useful part is that the file doesn't sit on its own. Attach last year's budget and ask VAL to hold it up against what actually happened:
"Compare this budget to my actual spend this year and flag where I'm over."
VAL reads the file, queries your domain, and puts the two side by side — so an outside document becomes part of the same conversation as your live data.
Because VAL remembers the conversation, you can keep working the file without re-attaching it — "now break that down by month" or "chart the variance." Send another file any time to bring it into the thread too.
Got a file you're not sure what to do with? Reply to any of our emails with "walkthrough" and we'll take a look together.
